Creswell Real Estate & Community Information

Located in the Willamette Valley of Lane County is the city of Creswell, home to over 5,000 residents.  Creswell’s location, just 10 miles south of Eugene and north of Cottage Grove along the I-5 and Highway 99 corridors, make it an ideal place to buy a home for those looking for a smaller community, but want to be near the larger city with its amenities.

Creswell is named after the US Postmaster John Creswell.  Creswell got its start when the first store opened up in 1872, after which the town grew around it. In the early years, Creswell’s economy centered around a grist mill in the community. Agriculture included wheat, cattle, and hog farming, with fruit trees adding to the economy by the end of the nineteenth century.

Creswell has seen consistent growth since the 1930s, owing to it’s location along the railroad and highways.
